What is the difference between different formats?
While LOUIS XIII Cognac can be presented in a few different decanter sizes, its organoleptic signature remains the same. The Classic Decanter contains 70cl of LOUIS XIII Cognac, but other sizes are available ranging from THE DROP (1cl) to the Mathusalem (6L).
Inspired by a rare 16th century “Gourde Annulaire”, a circular flask unearthed from the battlefield of Jarnac near Cognac, LOUIS XIII crystal decanters are as unique as the original. Each decanter is hand-blown and individually numbered. This means that no two decanters are exactly the same. The distinctive decanter still features the three fleurs-de-lys found on the original flask, and the neck of the decanter is decorated with 18-carat gold.
